Vapour Momenta Books

Founded by Aotearoa New Zealand artists Catherine Griffiths and Bruce Connew, Vapour Momenta Books is an independent publishing imprint dedicated to the artist book as both medium and object.

Working across photography, typography, language, design, and publishing, Griffiths and Connew have each developed significant practices that examine social, political, and cultural narratives through distinct yet complementary approaches. Together, they create books that extend beyond documentation, becoming artworks in their own right.

Each publication is conceived, designed, and produced with careful attention to materiality, typography, image, and form. For Vapour Momenta, the artist book is not simply a vessel for content but an integral part of the work itself.

In addition to artist books, Vapour Momenta Books publishes editions, photographs, lithographs, silkscreen prints, and selected works from the artists' archives.
